Ida Goodreau Joins the Centre for Health Care Management

The UBC Centre for Health Care Management is pleased to welcome Ida Goodreau to the Centre’s Executive Team. Ms. Goodreau joins CHCM as Director of Strategy, in addition to her appointment as Adjunct Faculty with the Sauder School of Business.

From 2002 to 2009, Ms. Goodreau was the Chief Executive Officer of Vancouver Coastal Health, one of the largest health care organizations in the country, responsible for delivering health services to over 1.1 million people.

Dean Gavin Stuart, UBC Faculty of Medicine and Vice-Provost Health, commented that “ Ida and I worked together while she was CEO of Vancouver Coastal Health.  I am delighted to have her join CHCM.”

More recently, she was the Chief Executive Officer of LifeLabs, the largest provider of community laboratory services in Canada. “Ms. Goodreau’s depth of experience in the health sector will be a significant contribution to the Centre” said Professor Daniel Muzyka, Dean of the Sauder School of Business.    Ms. Goodreau holds an Honours Bachelor of Commerce and an MBA from the University of Windsor.

The UBC Centre for Health Care Management is dedicated to supporting dialogue, research, and education within the health care management community. By facilitating research partnerships between academics and the health care sector, management education programs, and knowledge sharing, the centre creates value for its partner UBC faculties and health organizations. It is hosted at the Sauder School of Business.
